Vivarium: Philosophy Discussions On Any Subject

Unlike our main forum,  this is a forum of limited scope, dedicated to discussions on the nature of rhetoric and dialectics.

If a member has a user guide,  and passes reasonable expectation to debating,  ask for it to be stickied. If you want to launch a critic of someone's thread,  analyzing the parts and methods,  how they succeeded or failed in winning a debate,  or pushing a particular point,  do it here. I'm not fond of moderation,  so encourage the community to figure out who is worthy to listen to,  and unworthy. It is up to you to decide. In regards to obvious psychological disorders,  be kind,  don't demand a schizophrenic debater to suddenly debate coherently,  take baby steps,  and strive always to be helpful when asked advice in regards to improvements. Unlike the main debate forum,  I ask that you not lie here,  in fact,  if anything,  admit if you used false disinformation or similar strategem, so people learn to detect it,  and develop counter responses to it. This is a area of learning,  each one teach one.

Unless your analyzing debates on this forum,  or from another site in fair use,  or are presenting your own theory on rhetoric,  keep out. It isn't a casual chit-chat forum. This is where we come to learn from our best examples and worst mistakes. 

Don't forget,  the rules on doing nothing illegal still apply here and everywhere on this site.
