I'm several minutes,  after several days,  into the Thales documenty. Massive pain in the ass,  given I'm not including any spoken words in it....  bit still have to control the copyright and royalties involved in each image and song. Currently blowing me out of the water,  and thinking of doing a video series for other philosophers too. This isn't merely a video of me staring into a unfocused webcam,  I downloaded a hundred documentaries off YouTube,  considered their construction,  then decided to make it artsy.

Issue is,  a premium song licence can be $200 to keep the song from being flagged,  even if just in the background. Keeping tract of all the licences is going to be a pain in the ass,  and what I eventually release on YouTube is going to be a pale shadow to what I've already made,  which has songs and images that require a licence.

I may be willing to get just such a licence,  but expect eventual returns.

Amazon Video Direct may just allow it to happen....  over years. But at least,  even if it doesn't,  it will cone off as more respectible to tell people I have a philosophy documentary on sale on amazon instant video.

Only a very,  very small number do. Doesn't guarantee quality,  but does make it name worthy.
