There are some good debates over there. It is not all mindless gossip. I do understand your position although I do
not agree with all of it. I have started a thread which references the part which I do agree with. For playing devils
advocate is not my style. I think the lack of objective meaning is a blank canvas upon which one can project their
own meaning. In this respect nihilism is not the negative that it is usually portrayed as but a neutral or a positive
No, it is not a blank canvas...
You can't just make-up anything you like and live in accordance with it.
The absence of absolutes, you understand as Nihilism, is not the freedom to think whatever you desire and believe in whatever makes you feel good.
Man is not free to live a life using whatever bullshyte he prefers to be so.
The absence of absolutes is not a free-pass out of objective reality.
Flux, fluctuating (inter)activitites does not imply a rate of change where every thought is obsolete the moment you think it, or no god, does not mean there is no natural order - unconscious and unyielding to words.
There is no
tabula rasa.
Not all ideals are realistic.
You, as organism are present, as the past manifesting as presence.
Your nature, is the sum total of all past nurturing, environmental conditioning.
You are not at liberty to identify yourself with whatever you like, or is trending.
Positive Nihilism is not a free-pass.
I explain this
here .
